Murphys Creek Rd, TOOWOOMBA
This stunning, contemporary home was designed to capture the foliage and green landscape at the back of the block with consideration to the steepness of the land on which it stands. Jason and Stacey enlisted the help of an architect within their family with an intent focus on practicality, capturing the natural light with a northerly aspect and designing their home cleverly to suit a steep, sloping block.
As you enter the home, you can appreciate the attention to detail of the natural stone features which continue seamlessly from the front portico to the entry. The expansive main living areas combined with the high ceiling line, create an open, airy feeling which is complemented by the warm timber accents throughout. The vertical timber feature gives the illusion of boundaries with the open planned living and dining while allowing sun lit illumination into these important areas of the house.
The Ensuite off the main bedroom accentuates the view with large glass features over the bath with the architectural touch of offset angles in the wall layout.
Jason and Stacey’s kitchen contains an open pantry that is tucked away from view. The use of an external, corner glazed window allows them to look out onto the front lawn of their home while still providing privacy from neighbouring properties. This design features in this home serve both a practical and aesthetic purpose for their family
